"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done." (Philippians 4:6 NLT)

"Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition, definite requests, with thanksgiving ... make your wants known to God." (Philippians 4:6 Amplified).

I am what the Bible, the Word of God says I am!

I can do what the Bible, the Word of God says I can do!

Looking again at Leo C Harris' article, "How to Kick the Worry Habit" he writes - 'There are just two things to do about the past. Firstly, commit it to God.   Secondly, if forgiveness is necessary, claim forgiveness.

Now draw lessons from the past .. constructive, helpful lessons.'

And then there are future worries. The future is overwhelming to many people. They feel they cannot cope.

Supposing that on the way to your wedding you began to think about all the dishes that would have to be washed, dried and put away. What if your imagination had painted a picture of those dishes piled high in every room of the house and overflowing into the backyard!

There may have been a disappointed bridegroom waiting at the altar!

Some of you who have been married 10, 20 or 30 years have washed piles of dishes beyond all human comprehension. BUT - you washed them one day at a time, one meal at a time and one dish at a time!

And that is the only way to take care of the future. One day at a time! One event at a time! Even one hour at a time in some seasons.

Jesus said, "So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble" (Matthew 6:34 Amplified).

People worry about how they should handle present problems. They lie awake at night and then find their problems still unsolved in the morning.

Here are four steps to be taken in handling current problem situations.

1 Get all the facts. You will never solve your problem until you have all the relevant facts. Write them down. Then list all the possible ways of handling the situation.

2 Get qualified counsel. The Bible says that there is safety in the multitude of counsellors. Talk to people who are mature, and who have had experience, and who know what the Bible says about the issue at hand.

3 Ask God for his wisdom. "If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask him and he will gladly tell you, for he is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask him: he will not resent it" (James 1:5 Living Bible). Numerous are the people who, having conquered worry, or having had the cause of worry removed, have experienced miraculous recoveries from physical and mental illness.

4 By a deliberate act of faith - "Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you" (1Peter 5:7 Amplified).

You know what they say about worry? It is like sitting in a rocking chair, you are moving but going no-where!  Kick the Worry Habit!

"I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He is risen from the dead ... Come, see where his body was lying' (Matthew 28:5-7 NLT).

"I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, as He said He would do. Come, see the place where He lay." (Matthew 28:5-7 Amplified).

Thomas Jefferson, a great man, nevertheless could not accept the miraculous elements in Scripture. He edited his own special version of the Bible in which all references to the supernatural were deleted. Jefferson confined himself to the moral teachings of Jesus. The closing words of Jefferson's Bible are these: 'There laid they Jesus and rolled a great stone at the mouth of the sepulchre and departed."

Thank God that is not the way the story really ends! God raised Jesus from the dead! Why didn't God fix him up? Why scars? Why the print of nails that you could feel with your fingers? God does not hide the fact that Jesus suffered to attain our salvation. Those wounds will always bear witness to the fact that the Son of Man gave up his life, died a natural death at the hands of the Roman soldiers as a result of the unanimous decision of the Jewish leaders - but then we see the Spirit of God bringing forth life in raising Jesus from death to new and everlasting life.

The deaf have a sign for Jesus.  Quickly they make this sign many times during their worship; the middle finger of each hand is placed into the palm of the other.  Jesus, the one with wounded hands!  And when they touch their palm, they remember - they bear the name in their own flesh.

We must remember that the resurrected Christ is forever the wounded Christ. Living, but not 'fixed up'. Ready to show the evidence of his death to reveal the fact that this was no slight of hand, no magic make believe. He was wounded for our transgressions and sin, marred and scarred for eternity, but he was victorious over death and satan for eternity.

The witness of Bishop Lajos Ordass of the Lutheran Church in Hungary was given to a small group gathered at the Lutheran World Federation Assembly in Minneapolis in 1957. As bishop he protested the Communist regime's confiscation of church schools and was imprisoned for twenty months. Later he was under arrest for six years.

He was a tall stately man, and with ashen face he quietly told his story. "They placed me in solitary confinement. It was a tiny cell, perhaps six feet by eight feet, with no windows and soundproofed. They hoped to break down my resistance by isolating me from all sensory perceptions. They thought I was alone. They were wrong. The risen Christ was present in that room, and in communion with him, I was able to prevail."

Every year thousands of people climb a mountain in the Italian Alps, passing the "stations of the cross" to stand at an outdoor crucifix. One tourist noticed a little trail that led beyond the cross. He fought through the rough thicket and came upon a shrine that symbolized the empty tomb. The brush had grown up around it. Almost everyone had gone as far as the cross, but there they stopped. Far too many have gotten to the cross and have known the despair and the heartbreak. Far too few have moved beyond the cross to find the real message of Easter.

On the first day of April this year we remember - Jesus is Alive!

"For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son." (Colossians 1:13 NLT).

"The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." (Colossians 1:13 Amplified).

I am what the Bible, the Word of God says I am!

I can do what the Bible, the Word of God says I can do!

This is the message of the empty tomb.  After His resurrection, Jesus told all who believed to "go into all the world and preach the gospel .. the good news ... and these signs shall follow those who believe ..." (Mark 16:15-18).

Inspiring results are promised to all who believe in the Name of Jesus.

So this New Covenant is built upon tremendous promises Those deliberately and systematically set out promises in the Bible were activated by the death of Jesus, and God's acceptance of His perfect life reflected in the resurrection.

The Bible states His Name is above every other name, except the name of Him who gave Him this name - the living God (1 Corinthians 15:27).

These promises are ours today!  'In My Name, they shall' ... (Mark 16:17) ... cast out demons, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, drink anything deadly thing and lay hands on the sick and they will recover. This list of promises has endless possibilities, and they are all available to us today 'in the Name of Jesus'.

God says you can, the devil says you cannot, and you have the casting vote.

What are you doing with your vote? Get spiritually fit and challenge the enemy for that devil is a defeated foe and your spiritual fitness will identify every alien and non-paying customer in your life. We hear the word cancer and our expectations are challenged. But cancer is only a name; diabetes is only a name; arthritis is only a name; fear is only a name ... Jesus is the Name above every other name (Philippians 2:9-11). No name is greater - the Bible tells us so! Whatever the disease, condition or sickness, the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ covers the underworld, the earth, and the heavens - there is no greater name!

In Hebrews 1:5-13 Christ is set forth in his exaltation above the angels by virtue of both his divine nature and his glorious office.

God '... has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.'

And again ...

'I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son.' But to the Son, He says: 'Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than You companions.'

Thank you, Jesus!
