Taking Control of Your World

You get all dressed in your best outfit, and you feel excited to go out with your friend, but then you get to their car, and the seat is sticky from a dropped ice cream, and the dust is everywhere left from the out of town trip. Move aside the wrappers from a quick fast food drive-thru, and it seems your environment is not relating to your pristine outfit - haha - maybe an extreme illustration but how often do you discover your dreams and decisions to move ahead come into collision with your current emotional environment.

You have made up your mind to make changes in your believing or update your skills or be kinder to the family. You have vowed to yourself (and God) that you will always tell the truth every day from now on; or, you will always finish what you start.  You know the list?  We all have them pinned to the mirror! But you summon all your determination and wham! - your colleague picks on you for something you didn't do, or you come out to breakfast with a taped on smile only to walk into a family dispute that envelopes everyone.

What do you do? How can you walk through the stuff of life and not be detoured? We are going to look at that on Living on the Ledge and trust we can all build a strong environment based on truth, hope and compassion.  Let's get started ~
